The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Gandhinagar has been established under the aegis of ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India, Dept. of Pharmaceuticals as a centre of excellence in imparting higher education , research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute is a member of Association of Indian Universities and association of Commonwealth Universities. The institute is looking for suitable Indian Nationals, for appointment on contract basis for following posts.

Project Adviser

Qualification:
First class Engineering graduate with specialization in civil engineering.

Age Group: 50-60 Years*.

Experience:
Incumbent should be having in depth experience 25 - 30 years* in large infrastructure project / turnkey comprehensive project with multidisciplinary exposure in planning, designing, execution, quality control, monitoring including dealing with PMC / various consultants / architects, structural consultants, designing of specific systems/ facilities, utilities management.( including planning of utilities for complexes ) . Proven track record of handling construction project.

Job Profile:
Major responsibilities of the post are as follows:

(i) To coordinate on various matters with PMC advice project / operations team in finalization of various facilities / systems.
(ii) She/he will advice in evaluation of requirements / basic drawings & details, interact with PMC and their consultants / consultants appointed by institution ( project authority) various facilities as required and approval of plans by project authority as the case may be.
(iii) Monitoring execution of project for timely completion, quality aspects coordinating with PMC advising institute on various matters.
(iv) He/ She will advice on various aspects including setting basic facilities like water / power supply, communication network or other needs of the project.

* The retired professionals with experience of execution of multi crore large projects / turnkey comprehensive projects may also be considered.

Chief Accounts Officer

Qualification:
B.com/M.Com/MBA/CA/ICWA

Age Group: 55-60 Years**

Experience:
Min 20 years of experience with B.Com or 15 years with M.Com/ MBA. heading accounts/Finance department of government/ semi-government or autonomous body. Incumbent must have good knowledge of the Central Government Rules related to Finance and Accounts specifically FR & SR, GFR and Audit of Accounts. Experience in handling all aspects of finance, liaison with banks and financial institutions, budgeting, MIS, internal audits, able to handle a team of junior accountants. She/he should have experience in preparation of Balance sheet, Receipt &Payment Account, Income & Expenditure accounts, and formulating investment Plans in Central Autonomous bodies/Central Government Establishments. Candidates should have ample knowledge of Tally ERP Accounting software.

Job Profile:

(a) Supervising preparation of Balance sheet, Receipt & Payment Account, Income & Expenditure accounts, and formulating investment plans
(b) Fund Management, Investments and Project Payments
(c) Coordination of Government Audit and Internal Audit
(d) Formulation and implementation of financial policies and procedures
(e) Advising and participating in activities where financial inputs/decisions are required viz Project Agreements/ Contracts/Procurements, etc.
(f) Processing of monthly pay rolls
(g) Maintaining and reconciling grants and endowments funds
(h) Prepare monthly financial statements of accounts
(i) Ensure regular Statutory Payments and Returns
(j) Coordination with Central/State Government Agencies

** The retired professionals with experience of working in a university or higher educational /research institutions may also be considered.

Engineer Civil/Electrical

Qualification:
BE/B.Tech in Civil/Electrical engineering. Knowledge of computer aided Design (CAD) and other relevant software will be an added advantage.

Age Group: 35-50 Years as on 01 Dec 2014

Experience:
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in a large infrastructure / comprehensive project. He can be civil engineer with exposure to electrical engineering & utility management or Electrical engineer with exposure to civil engineering works in institution.

Job Profile:
(i) The incumbent to coordinate with PMC ( Project Management Consultant) from institute's side,
(ii) To coordinate on land matters, boundaries, documentations, statutory approvals / clearances (including from local bodies where Institute has to apply based on full details, drawings, capacities, requirements worked out and submitted by PMC) and maintaining the records.
(iii) To coordinate on power supply , water supply, communication modules, environmental impact and the measures like Rainwater Harvesting, Treatment plants. He shall be looking for institutes interest and will be a link person when PMC is out and the institute takes over the project
(iv) To assist in envisaging / setting various requirements of utilities, capacities of various systems ( as planned / worked out by PMC )
(v) To assist institutes project team in finalization of basic requirements, evaluate drawings for granting approval to PMC ( in case as per MOU if Institute is to approve the basic drawings).
(vi) Assist institutes project team during execution of project on monitoring execution work as per approved drawings, quality checks, monitoring the progress of the project for completion in time. To maintain records / drawings / details records ( including approved drawings )
(vii) The incumbent will be further responsible to maintain various facilities viz Bldgs Roads, all interiors, assets viz infrastructure including operation & maintenance of institute/ equipment , water / power supply various utilities upon completion of Project and Institute starts its normal operation ( after taking over the project from Turnkey Consultant.
(viii) To team up from operations side ( project authority- end user) officers / subject specialist / faculty who will take care of basic planning, anticipation of requirements / needs as per relevant standards ( in case of laboratories, clean rooms, pilot plants) for further developing basic plans by PMC and further detailing.

Personal Assistant/ Personal secretary

Qualification:
Graduate/Postgraduate

Age group: Up to 40 years as on 01 Dec 2014

Experience:
At least 10-15 years of working experience with institutions of repute.

Job Profile:
To help the Director in making best use of time by dealing with secretarial and administrative tasks. He/she would be expected to perform following duties with ease:
(i) To act as the Director's first point of contact with people from both inside and outside the organization.
(ii) Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
(iii) Arranging travel, accommodation and take notes or dictation at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations;
(iv) Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests and handling them when appropriate
(v) Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
(vi) Organizing and maintaining diaries and making appointments
(vii) Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Director.
(viii) Carrying out background research and presenting findings
(ix) Producing documents, briefings papers, reports and presentations.
(x) Organizing and attending meetings and ensuring the Director is well prepared for meetings.
(xi) Liaising with other staff

General terms and conditions for all posts

1. The appointment is initially for a period of 01 year contract basis on consolidated salary based on the work experience, which can be further extended on mutual consent and requirement. Incumbent can't claim for regularization of the appointment.
2. Salary is no bar for a deserving candidate.
3. Mere possessing the qualification does not warrant to be called for the interview.
4. Decision of the management will be final in all respect.
5. Numbers of posts are tentative. Management reserves the right not to fill any or all of the posts advertised.
6. In exceptional cases Institute, on the recommendation of selection committee may give relaxation in age and experience to a deserving candidate.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
